The golf tee as we know it has been around since the early 1920s. But it wasn’t until 2001 that someone took a serious look at what it really could do. That someone was us—Excel Golf. We took the standard golf staple and transformed it into a golf ball launch pad.

How we got here is simple. As a subsidiary of Excel Dowel & Wood Products—the nation’s top manufacturer and distributor of wooden dowel pins—it was an easy transition into the golf tee market. With the brains and the brawn of Excel Dowel behind us, Excel Golf had all the tools and resources we needed to become a major player in the golf tee game. But we didn’t stop there.

In 2005 we premiered the Zero Friction line of golf tees—the hottest performance golf tee in the marketplace and on the PGA Tour. Zero Friction took off immediately as the top-performing, most durable alternative tee available. Our three-pronged performance tees have already played a part in more than 50 PGA Tour victories and have helped achieve more than 300 top-ten finishes.

The following year we broadened our product line to include the Tocaré Tour Performance Golf Grip featuring Vibration Diffusion Pattern (VDP) Technology—a golf grip unrivaled in providing solid contact with extreme comfort. Tocaré has been immediately accepted on the PGA Tour.

The most recent addition to our product family is our Zero Friction Distance 312 golf ball. Engineered with a unique two-piece construction and a 312 dimple pattern, the ball helps you achieve maximum distance and roll without sacrificing soft feel.
